Carole Piovesan – McCarthy Tétrault

PIOVESAN_Carole_col_1009_thumbnailCarole Piovesan joined the McCarthy Tétrault Litigation Group in 2010 after summering and articling at the Firm.  Her general litigation practice includes medical defence, commercial, criminal and appellate work.

Prior to attending law school, Carole served as a Policy Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.  She has also held senior policy roles with the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, the Canadian International Development Agency and for an international human rights organization.

Carole received her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School, where she was awarded the Dean’s Gold Key Award and the Legal and Literary Society Student Honour Award. She is also an alumna of McGill University and the London School of Economics and Political Science.  Carole is the recipient of the Inaugural Alumni of Distinction Award from the Toronto French School and the Loche Exhibition Award from the University of London.

Carole is a talented, energetic and committed advocate.  She has appeared before various levels of court and administrative tribunals and keenly represents McCarthy Tetrault`s commitment to litigation excellence.
