Out-of-Court Reporting, Depositions, and Transcription
Think all court reporters are the same? Think again. At ASAP Reporting Services, you can’t simply buy yourself a digital recorder and call yourself a court reporter just because you can transcribe. That might “cut it” in many places. Not here.
At ASAP many of our court reporters are graduates of a two-year steno typing program, and all are skilled in legal processes and procedures such as describing an exhibit, organizing undertakings and indices, and the correct way to treat non-verbal responses.
Need your discovery or hearing transcript in a hurry? We offer same-day turnaround. Need it even faster? We can provide real-time transcripts streamed live, both to our Arbitration Place facilities or anywhere else in the world. That means when you are examining a witness in Toronto, we can hook your expert in Dallas into the feed and set up a side chat room so that he can text you privately in real time on the testimony being provided.
Our reporters and staff are experienced with US-style depositions. We have full videoconferencing capabilities. Simultaneous interpretation in dozens of languages can be arranged. And we offer a full range of Communication Access Real-time Translation (CART) services for persons with hearing disabilities. You name it, we can do it.

Certified Court Transcripts
At ASAP Reporting, we offer Ontario Certified Court Transcripts produced by our very own Authorized Court Transcriptionists (ACT). Since 2014, digital recordings are made of most Ontario court proceedings; litigants and other interested parties who wish to have a certified, admissible transcript of those proceedings must do so through an Authorized Court Transcriptionist.
Our Authorized Court Transcriptionists are some of the best and brightest in the industry and are available immediately to help you with your certified transcription. Transcripts can in most cases be produced within 24 hours after we receive all the necessary information.
ASAP Reporting can also provide an ACT-certified reporter to attend your Ontario court proceeding and provide real-time and same-day transcription services; just contact us to learn more.
Technology & Administrative Support
We recognize that you may need administrative or technical support when you join us at our Arbitration Facilities in Toronto or Ottawa. Our staff is on it.
We will arrange for couriers to send and receive parcels, have copies printed and, if required, even hand-deliver an envelope in downtown Toronto or Ottawa. We can liaise with your office where needed to become an extension of your support team. When time is important, you can have your assistant email documents to us and we will print them and make sure you get them quickly.
Our administrative support is just that – full support. That extends to any technical requests or problems you may have. In addition to full video and teleconferencing capabilities, we have knowledgeable staff on hand to help with minor glitches and an IT company on contract 24/7, so help is never more than a phone call away. That means you are never on your own with a technical conundrum.
If you need a plug or cord for your computer at the last minute, we have many on hand and if necessary, a member of our concierge staff will run out and pick one up. No technical issue is too big or too small.
Catering & Concierge
When you book a reporter at our Arbitration Place facilities in Toronto or Ottawa, don't plan on packing your own lunch: we have fully-equipped commercial kitchens and serve gourmet catering each and every day.
Breakfast, lunch and snacks are all included in our service. That means you can expect home-baked muffins, fresh fruit and good coffee in the morning. Lunch? How about roast beef with caramelized-onion horseradish or smoked salmon and goat cheese with lemon caper aioli sandwiches? Our staff takes special requests, and can arrange for outside catering from a wide variety of fine restaurants near our facilities in Toronto and Ottawa.
At Arbitration Place, no request is too large and no detail is too small. Members of our team will arrange for couriers, try to find you event tickets, recommend restaurants and make your dinner reservations.
